MAYME MARSHALL
Born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1994, Mayme has dedicated her life to the performing arts, essentially from the time she could walk. As a kid, her often intractable urge to sing and dance gave rise to regional success in choral and musical theater settings. Later, in adolescence, Mayme’s burgeoning consciousness of her family’s Southern roots-- combined with the type of bruising life experience that seems to be a universal informer of all relatable art-- propelled her toward the bluesy, soulful sound that she ultimately harnessed and brought to true fruition as the lead singer of Milo Binx.
Somewhere on the dusty, glimmering trajectory connecting maverick artists Amy Winehouse, Prince, and Alice In Chains (just to name a few of Mayme’s beloved influencers), she has forged a sound that is hers alone. Her creative style resonates with a diverse, modern audience yearning for music that is at once forward-looking and intimate; elegant yet visceral; imaginative, yet effortlessly authentic.
Mayme is both a solo artist, and member of Los Angeles-based Milo Binx. She studied at the renowned Texas State Musical Theatre Program, and the University of Minnesota. She has lived and performed across the nation, from New York to California.
